The Escape Artist is a celebration of my friend Erik’s collegiate lacrosse career, which came to a successful close when he graduated from the University of Oregon this summer. I know that Erik learned important lessons as a player and captain of the highly competitive U of O team. I know he also made many life-long friends. I hope this painting will remind him of those years for the rest of his life. Plus: get a load of those muscled legs!
