Growing up in Healdsburg, CA, I was surrounded by prune orchards, vineyards and fields of grazing livestock. In my Simply Rural paintings, I take inspiration from my rural roots and from Sonoma County’s still-vibrant countryside, its weekly Farmer’s Market and even an old friend’s chicken coop.
These paintings strive to be bold, expressive and lively.
The best part of painting my hometown: there’s always a glass of wine nearby.
