It Takes A Village

A Quiet Corner

Standing at the easel painting is inherently a solitary activity. But the art of art has its cooperative elements as well. The Lafayette Studio, where I paint on Mondays and Thursdays and where I learned my craft from mentor/teacher/guide Marcy Wheeler, also is a community of like-minded painters. Seven of us are holding Open Studio there on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 16 and 17.

Come join us (11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 3506 A Mt. Diablo Blvd. in the shopping center with Safeway, Noah’s, Jamba Juice and the future Whole Foods. Walking distance from BART, for my Berkeley friends.)

Meanwhile, take a look at work by me and my fellow artists, on our Open Studio website.
