I just hung new paintings at the HCA Gallery, 130 Plaza St., Healdsburg. Stop by and see these Simply Rural images: pick-up trucks, cows and chickens, old buildings and one surprise historical image. The painting called The Old Dry Yard (lower left above) is based on a photo taken at my family’s farm in the 1910s. It shows how prunes were dried before the advent of modern dehydrators. A special treat for Healdsburg old-timers who remember the days when this wine country destination was known as the Buckle of the Prune Belt. (No kidding.)
Your paintings hang together beautifully both because of your colorful style of painting and your rural theme! Great work!
Thanks, Jeanette!
The truck looks simply FABULOUS, Darling!
Thanks, Marcy!
